Dog and cat boarding the way it should be!

Health Requirements

The health and safety of each guest is of highest importance to us. Because of this, your furry family member(s) must be flea and tick free at check-in. Please note that an examination will be conducted at check-in, and treated baths will be given at the owner's expense to any dog or cat that has signs of fleas or ticks.

Vaccinations:

We do NOT take any dogs/cats that are intact and not spay/neutered.  In addition, the following vaccinations are required:  (Please note that vaccines typically take 10-14 days to become active in a dog's system, so it is important for them to have been updated, or given for the first time, in advance of your doggie's visit with us!)

Dogs:                    Rabies, DHLPPC and Bordetella (intra-nasal or injection/within past year)

(Please note we only require the bordetella vaccine once/year!)

               Cats:                     Rabies, distemper and FVRCP

You may bring medical proof of current vaccinations with you to check-in, or it may be sent to us as a pdf file at [email protected] or as an attachment via text at 540-359-2389. Unfortunately, we cannot accept your pet without proof of vaccinations.

Veterinary Care/Emergencies:

Should your pet require a doctor visit (or treatment) during regular business hours, we will make every effort to contact you and your regular vet before care is sought. In the event, however, that we are unable to locate you, we have partnered with two local veterinary practices for emergency consultations and treatment (during normal business hours).
They are Rose Hill Veterinary Practice in Washington, VA (15 minutes away) and Clevenger's Corner Veterinary Practice (less than one mile away).

Emergency/Critical Care/After-Hours Care:  Should it be determined that your dog or cat requires emergency/critical medical care after-hours, the following facilities will be used. These facilities have been determined for their proximity to our facility and their level of skill.  You may also identify a different facility of your preference and indicate it on your pet's medical directive form.

SouthPaws Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Center (located in Fairfax, VA)

The Life Center (Specialist & Emergency Center) (located in Leesburg, VA)

We Do NOT require the
